Chapter 1. Basic Operation

 •  Table Operating Procedure

A table consists of cells arranged in rows and columns. The number of rows and columns in a table, though limited, can go beyond the size of a screen and can be accessed by using the arrow keys.

A cell pointer is a highlighted cell that is ready for data input. Each input can be completed with [ENTER]. You can also finish each entry with one of the four arrow keys. In doing so not only moves the cell pointer to your desired position, but data can be saved up to the current cell pointer.

Key Operations

[UP][LEFT][DOWN][RIGHT] Moves the cell pointer to the desired position

[F8] Switches between row mode and column mode. Row mode is indicated by a pointing at the top of the row header while a pointing at the side of the column header indicates column mode.

Operation of the following function keys will depend on which mode you are in .

[INS] Adds a new row or column.

[DEL] Deletes a row or column.

Note: There are other function keys used to operate a table and will be defined in each of the programs that uses them.
